Semi-permanent make-up in Lancashire – Who’s doing your beauty Treatments? Get to know your semi-permanent make-up and Aesthetics Technician Rebecca Brown.

Trust is important.

At Permanent Perfection, we believe trust is of the utmost importance. As we all know, trust is an essential part of any relationship. However, before you can trust someone, you need to get to know them. So, here we take a look at Rebecca’s journey into semi-permanent make-up in Lancashire.

We will learn about Rebecca’s journey, but more importantly talk about the business she created to help you understand how she can help you.

So, how did your semi-permanent make-up in the Lancashire journey start, Rebecca?

Since starting my business from scratch in 2011, it has grown to have over 1000 clients across two locations. It hasn’t been easy though as I had little money to invest in marketing and a new-born son along the way to add in a major curveball.

Over the years, I’ve built up my reputation due to a dedication to ensure clients get the results they want.

Most of my time is spent with referrals from clients or existing clients opting for different treatments. This shows that my clients are happy with my work, trust me enough to try new treatments, and feel confident in referring me to their loved ones and friends. All in all, it shows that people trust me.

Since providing the initial semi-permanent make-up in Lancashire services in my purpose-built cabin at the bottom of my garden that my Dad built. I now operate from two semi-permanent make-up in Lancashire bases: Wigan and Mawdesley. Furthermore, I have trained in other services and now offer a broader range of carefully selected treatments to new and existing customers alike.

Another point to note is that initially, I planned to run the business part-time whilst being a homemaker. However, over the years, I’ve changed my outlook and enjoy being a full-time professional businesswoman and dedicate as much time as possible to my business whilst maintaining a healthy personal life with my son and partner.

Simply put, I love spending time with my family but being a businesswoman in a modern world is fantastic. I love representing the beauty industry and all it has to offer and plan to do so for many years to come.

Why semi-permanent make-up in Lancashire?

semi-permanent make-up in Lancashire

My semi-permanent make-up in Lancashire journey started in 2011. I had recently experienced a very painful bereavement after losing my mother to cancer in 2009. As Chemotherapy causes hair loss, I became aware that semi-permanent make-up for women undergoing this treatment could help regain their confidence.  Allowing them to take back some control of their look, during this immensely challenging time. I can remember thinking that if I could help just one person feel better, I would have done a good thing!

Aside from the more vocational aspects of semi-permanent make-up in Lancashire, I was drawn to it as I felt it suited my skills. I have a background in art, am an avid drawer, and particularly enjoy producing incredibly detailed work. Furthermore, I enjoy serving customers, so it all felt like a perfect match, allowing me to use my  skills and characteristics whilst also providing a valuable service.

I decided to train with Nouveau Contour (KB academy). I was drawn to them because they have a compelling reputation in the market, but also, Karen does lots of work with worthy charities close to my heart. So, her training academy felt like an excellent match for my values as a person and my skillset.

The semi-permanent make-up in Lancashire services that I offer include:

  • Eyebrows – 3D Hairstroke effect, Powdered effect, or Combination
  • Eyeliner – From a subtle Eyelash Enhancement to a glamorous, winged liner
  • Lips – Lipliner and Lip Blush

I can either replicate how the client’s eyebrows once were or create a whole new look. The critical point here is to help clients rebuild their confidence. I am also able to add subtle eyeliner treatments to create definition where their eyelashes once were.

I find working with clients who have undergone Chemotherapy or suffer from some form of Alopecia rewarding. Given my personal experience, I know just how vital these treatments are for these clients. This work is significant to me as I lost my mum in 2009 and saw first-hand how devastating Chemotherapy is.

How do you ensure your skills are up to date?

Continuous professional development is critical. From my perspective, it helps me to learn more and to become a better practitioner. The benefits to me are that I’m constantly being challenged and growing professionally. The advantage to the customer is they can choose from a broader range of services conducted by a consummate professional.

Since becoming a semi-permanent make-up in Lancashire, I have qualified as a plasma pen technician and anaesthetics technician offering non-surgical fat removal treatments and non-surgical facelift treatments. My next course will be scalp micro-pigmentation, which I will start in July 2021.

When deciding what treatment to train in next, I always put the customer at the front of my mind. I ask myself what else could I offer that will help the customer regain their confidence and what I believe my skills and abilities will allow me to conduct these treatments to an exceptionally high level. Asking myself these questions enables me to make the right choices.

Further down the line, I want to open a training academy to help develop the next generation of semi-permanent make-up in Lancashire artists. However, I still plan to conduct treatments myself for many years to come.

Aside from semi-permanent make-up in Lancashire, what other service do you offer, and why did you choose to offer them?

Aside from Semi-Permanent Makeup Up in Lancashire, I also provide Non-Surgical Face & Body Treatment. As Permanent Perfection is all about helping others regain their confidence, the range of treatments seemed like a great idea.

So, what can we find you doing when you’re not at work?

When not at work, I can usually be found spending time with my son and partner. We are lucky in the fact that we enjoy doing similar things. We have a season ticket for Wigan Warriors, enjoy walking in forests and going mountain biking, it’s fair to say we enjoy being outdoors.

When I’m not doing some form of activity, I also enjoy pastimes at the opposite of the energy scale. I love crafting. I’m particularly interested in resin now, so our house has one or 2 coasters that I’ve made recently.
