Radio Frequency – How does it work?
Radio Frequency Skin Tightening delivers RF energy via our 3D Aesthetics Ultimate Pro Tri-Polar device into the layer of the skin known as the dermis. It causes trauma to older and existing collagen.
The body recognises this trauma causing the fibroblasts to stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin. This is what produces the smoother, tightening and more youthful effect that our clients desire.
Plasma Skin Tightening – How does it work?
Plasma Pen works by causing micro-trauma to the superficial and deeper layers of the skin. This micro-trauma and the subsequent rejuvenation and healing process will produce the desired effects that our clients want.
The positive impact on each layer of skin is different, the outer layer will start to become tighter, and the deeper layer will begin to produce new collagen. So, Plasma Pen creates new collagen and skin cells, which is why it is a popular treatment.
An excellent way to think about Plasma Pen is to imagine that the deeper layers of the skin are its scaffolding. As Plasma Pen rejuvenates the scaffolding via new collagen production, there is an immense tightening effect resulting in visible signs of ageing being significantly reduced.

What is Non-Surgical Skin Tightening?
Non-Surgical Skin Tightening is when loose and excess skin on the face and body is refreshed and reinvigorated without costly and invasive surgery.
At Permanent Perfection, our Non-Surgical Skin Tightening Treatments include;

What happens during a consultation?
During your consultation, our friendly and experienced aesthetic technician Rebecca will guide you through a thorough discussion to understand your treatment goals. Rebecca will then consider other factors such as age, skin and body area to devise the best treatment plan based on your circumstances and desired outcomes.
Each of our treatment options is highly effective. However, due to the specialised nature of each treatment, they are better suited to different circumstances.
For example, Radio Frequency Skin Tightening is more suited to tightening skin on the body. Plasma Pen is better suited to a more mature client, whereas HIFU is the most effective solution for lifting the cheeks.
What Skin Tightening equipment do you use?
We only use high-quality medical-grade equipment from leading Aesthetics Machine manufacturers and suppliers.
We use;
- 3D Aesthetics Ultimate PRO Tri-Polar Radio Frequency
- Plasma Pen
- 3D Aesthetics HIFU (High-Frequency Focused Ultrasound)
When will I see my Skin Tightening results?
Due to the mechanism of action, results will appear at different stages of the treatment plan.
To give you an indication of the difference:
- Radio Frequency results can be seen from sessions 1 or 2; however, the best results will be when the course is completed.
- HIFU results can are seen from 9-12 weeks after the initial treatment.
- Plasma Pen clients will see some immediate skin tightening. However, the finished results will become apparent after 12 weeks.
What Skin Tightening results can I expect?
Our Non-Surgical Skin Tightening Treatments will cause the body to produce new collagen. Plump up the skin, improve elasticity, smooth wrinkles, reduce eyebags, tighten skin and improve texture.
In the case of HIFU, it will cause the SMAS layer to tighten up, producing a lifting and firming effect.
How long do the Skin Tightening results last?
- HIFU – 24 months
- Plasma Pen – 36 to 60 months
- Radio Frequency – 24 months
Of course, all treatments are easily maintained to keep the skin looking firm, fresh, youthful & tight.
Do the treatments hurt?
With Radio Frequency & HIFU, our clients will feel a warm sensation in the area being treated.
Plasma Pen clients may feel a little discomfort. However, the application of numbing cream will minimise this sensation.
As our treatments are all non-surgical, they cause significantly less trauma to the body than surgical alternatives.
How many sessions will I need?
Radio Frequency consists of a course of separate treatment sessions. We recommend 8, based on our experience and the machine manufactures recommendations for best results.
HIFU & Plasma Pen treatments consist of a single session.
How often are the Skin Tightening sessions?

How do I care for my skin after my Skin Tightening Treatment?
For Radio Frequency and HIFU, we advise using a light moisturizer with SPF.
Plasma Pen has a more specific aftercare regime. This includes keeping the area dry for a week and applying a unique balm provided by us.
Rebecca will give you complete and detailed aftercare instructions for you to follow.
I have a busy lifestyle. How will the treatments fit into it?
One of the many excellent benefits of our skin tightening the procedure’s are their non-surgical and non-invasive nature. Meaning there is minimal disruption to busy schedules.
So, whether you have a hectic work schedule or spend a lot of time doing physical activity, skin tightening treatments can and will fit around your life.
We offer weekend and evening appointments at our clinic and will be able to plan in sessions for you. So, you can factor in things like work and family committmenst around your treatment and aftercare schedule.
