Lee came to Permanent Perfection at the age of 42. He had always worn his hair long, but increasing thinning at the front and back had changed both his appearance and his confidence when going out.
Shaving his head was not something he could face, so he wore caps every day. Even when dressing for a special occasion, Lee used a smarter flat cap to keep the hair loss concealed.
“I personally didn’t want the baldy look so I tried to keep what I had left for as long as I could but was getting worse.”
He considered a hair transplant in Turkey, but the uncertainty persuaded him against it. Lee then had a frontal hairpiece fitted into the hair he retained and used coloured spray over the thinning area at the back.
For a time, this produced the fuller look Lee wanted. The upkeep, however, became costly and constant. His hairpiece needed removing and refitting every six to eight weeks and replacing about every six months. The coloured spray also came off on his forehead, hands, bedding, towels and clothes.
“It looked pretty awesome however, the spray got everywhere. Constantly washing my hands, forehead, pillow cases, towels, clothes, etc, this was a pain.”
A holiday in Greece brought the routine to an end. In the heat, the hairpiece glue softened and the coloured spray began running from Lee’s scalp. He removed the hairpiece after returning home and once again relied on his cap.
After someone personally recommended Rebecca, Lee contacted her about scalp micropigmentation. Rebecca created the new hairline and complete shaved-head appearance over four treatment sessions.
The intended result became more visible at each visit. Lee could clearly see the finished style developing by session three. The fourth session completed the coverage and gave Rebecca the opportunity to review the whole appearance with him.
