Lee had lost significant coverage through the front and crown. He feared shaving would leave him looking completely bald, so he kept his remaining hair longer and relied on increasingly complicated ways to hide what was happening.

“I couldn’t bring myself to shaving my head so I got into a habit of wearing caps all of the time instead. If I was going out to a special occasion I’d wear a smart flat cap instead looking like a Peaky Blinder!”

Lee considered a transplant in Turkey but decided the uncertainty of surgery was not right for him.
“Cheap yes but I had read good & bad stories about this treatment & I personally didn’t want to take that chance.”
He then tried a fitted frontal hairpiece with brunette spray across the thinning crown. The initial appearance worked, but the reality involved colour transferring onto his skin, hands, towels, bedding and clothing. The piece also required repeated removal, refitting and replacement.

“The final straw for me was a trip to Greece which was a million degrees & the glue was literally melting the hair piece off my head & the brunette spray dripping from my scalp, not good.”
