Fat Freezing or Cryolipolysis is a way of targeting and freezing unwanted Fat. First, our Fat Freezing handpiece(s) are applied to the target area, and then the vacuum draws the fat cells into the handpiece to be frozen.

This means that only the targeted fat cells are frozen. The handpiece will stay applied for 30-60 mins, depending upon the size of the area.

As fat cells are more vulnerable than skin to colder temperatures, the surrounding tissue is not affected. However, the fat cells will be fully frozen and crystallized once the treatment is completed. They will, in turn, die. This process is called Apoptosis.

Once the cells have died, they are processed out of the body via the lymphatic system as usual. Clients can expect between 20-40% reduction in fat cells in the treated area. As we need to wait for the body to process the fat cells, visible results can take between 6-12 weeks to show. Fat Freezing is painless, but it is normal to feel a cooling sensation in the treatment area.

We recommend avoiding alcohol in the 24 hours before your treatment, and on the day itself.

To answer this, it helps to understand how each approach works.

In simple terms, diet and exercise reduce the size of fat cells, but they don’t remove them. That’s one reason some people experience a “yo-yo” effect — fat cells can shrink during a diet, then expand again if your calorie intake increases.

3D Lipo body treatments work differently. Depending on the treatment used, they can break down and eliminate fat cells in the targeted area. Once those fat cells are removed, there is less fat storage capacity in that specific zone.

So yes — they can complement diet and exercise because they affect the body in a different way and allow you to focus on areas that may not respond easily to lifestyle changes alone.

Fat Freezing: Sessions are one-off treatments, but the same area can be treated again on a separate occasion if needed.

To maximise results and ensure your body has time to process the treated fat cells, we recommend leaving at least 12 weeks between sessions on the same area.

As with any treatment that delivers real change, there’s an investment of time — but it’s significantly less than surgery.

3D Lipo body treatments are not associated with severe side effects.

That said, it’s normal to experience mild, temporary effects in the treatment area, such as redness, tingling, sensitivity or numbness.

These reactions can occur due to the cooling and/or warming elements of the treatment and typically settle on their own.

The treatments are generally very comfortable — some clients even fall asleep during their sessions.

Any redness you notice afterwards should subside naturally.
